DHCP

SambaBox comes with an integrated DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) service. DHCP is a service used to assign dynamic or static IP addresses to devices on a network, to specify a gateway, to automatically identify the IPs of servers such as DNS or WINS on clients.

In the SambaBox DHCP server, you can perform operations such as allocating IP, making the distributed IP static, editing subnet options.

To begin IP distribution via the DHCP service, you must first configure a subnet.
