Remote Monitoring
This section allows you to configure monitoring settings for the SambaBox system. Monitoring helps identify performance issues and resource bottlenecks by using either SNMP or the Zabbix Agent.
SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) is a simple application layer protocol that assists the network administrator in managing a network.SambaBox supports SNMP and you can monitor the events listed below with applications such as Zabbix.

SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol)
Status: SNMP OFF
SNMP is a standard protocol used for system monitoring. SambaBox can be monitored via SNMP. It allows you to analyze real-time metrics and identify performance issues or resource constraints.
Zabbix Agent
Status: Zabbix Agent OFF
Zabbix Agent is a lightweight monitoring software. SambaBox can be monitored using the Zabbix Agent. It provides detailed system performance data and helps identify performance issues.
With Zabbix Agent, you can:
Monitor specific services
Track custom log files
Set up automated alerts for critical events
Downloadable Zabbix Templates
To set up the monitoring infrastructure, the following Zabbix templates can be downloaded:
Notes
Either SNMP or Zabbix Agent must be enabled before they can be used.
Both methods provide insight into system performance and can be used individually or together, depending on your needs.
